The Mindy Project

Mindy season 6 trailer

Mindy is back for the final season on Tuesday, Sept. 12. Hulu has released a synopsis and a trailer:

SYNOPSIS: She’s done it! After five seasons of The Mindy Project, Mindy’s bagged herself a husband. Sure, an impulsive elopement wasn’t the fairy tale wedding of her dreams, but now it’s finally time to see what comes after “I do.” But it’s hard for Mindy (Kaling) to settle down as a married lady when there’s so much juicy drama at Shulman and Associates! As Jeremy (Weeks) and Anna (Rebecca Rittenhouse) navigate the uncertainties of a new relationship, Tamra (Roquemore) signs on to be Lahiri Fertility’s newest (and top-secret) patient. And as The Mindy Project’s hilarious final season draws to a close, will Morgan (Barinholtz), Jody (Garret Dillahunt) and the rest of the doctors and nurses find their happily ever after? And will Mindy decide that “having it all” is really all she ever wanted?

Guest appearance on Blindspot

Garret will make an appearance on this week’s episode of Blindspot, which airs on Wednesday (April 5) at 8 pm on NBC. A few details about the episode, from EW:

The Raising Hope and Justified alum will play Travis, an Iraq war veteran who spent years running from his problems and is now suffering the consequences. On a chance encounter with Special Agent Reade (Rob Brown), the two men bond, and Travis encourages Reade not to make the same mistakes.

Elsewhere, Mindy has been picked up for its 6th and final season. New episodes will be released in September so, between that and The Guest Book, which premieres some time in August, there’s a lot to look forward to this summer/fall.

New episode of The Mindy Project

Mindy is back today with a new episode, called “Hot Mess Time Machine.” Garret isn’t in it, but it’s a fun one. You can watch it here.

Elsewhere, it’s less than a month until Amazon releases the second season of Hand of God. From the press release:

Hand of God Season 2 – March 10

Created and written by Ben Watkins (Burn Notice), Hand of God returns with Golden Globe winner Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy), starring as Judge Pernell Harris. The hard-living, law-bending king of San Vicente, “Judge Maximum” has finally hit bottom as he faces trial for the murder of a cop. While his visions and the ghost of his dead son will slowly lead Pernell through a conspiracy that is bigger than he could have imagined, they will threaten his relationship with his wife and everything he holds dear. This season, Judge Maximum must fight on two fronts – to restore his sanity and gain his freedom. Hand of God also stars Dana Delany (Body of Proof), Garret Dillahunt (Justified) and Andre Royo (The Wire).

The Mindy Project returns for season 5

Just a reminder that you can catch the Mindy season 5 opener, “Decision,” on Hulu today.

And from the looks of it, Garret will be making an appearance in The Guest Book, Greg Garcia’s new show that premieres on TBS in January. Here is a quick description:

The Guest Book is based on fictitious stories Garcia had been writing in the guest books of various rental cabins in an effort to freak out the next renters. Garcia will write all 10 episodes and will executive produce the TV series, which centers on a small-town vacation home and its visitors. The house and cast of characters living in this mountain town remain the same, with each episode featuring a different set of guests renting the house. — Deadline
