SYNOPSIS:
Swearengen (Ian McShane) transforms the Gem into a courtroom as Deadwood is forced to make its own laws to try Jack McCall (Garret Dillahunt) for the murder of Wild Bill Hickok (Keith Carradine). With Calamity Jane (Robin Weigert) off on a bender, Trixie (Paula Malcomson) is enlisted by Swearengen to help Alma (Molly Parker) with the orphaned child and to keep her pliable to his purposes. Fearing Andy’s (Zach Grenier) illness might threaten his business, Cy (Powers Boothe) banishes him to the woods, where he is discovered by Jane.
