The script was written by McQueen and Gillian Flynn and production is expected to begin this summer.
The information about the character isn’t accurate, but this is the new project (via Deadline):
Garret Dillahunt is set to star opposite Jason Momoa in Braven, the indie action-thriller being directed by Lin Oeding. The former Raising Hope star will play villain in the film about about a lumberjack (Momoa) who battles mercenaries who are after a heroin stash that has found its way into his family’s mountain cabin. Dillahunt plays the money-hungry trucker who put the drugs there.
The pic, scripted by Thomas Pa’a Sibbett from an original story by Mike Nilon, centers a humble logger residing along the U.S./Canada border who is confronted by a group of deadly drug runners in his secluded cabin in the mountains, and he must do everything in his power to protect his family. Deadline has some details about Rounding Third, the film Garret is currently filming, and his next project, called Come and Find Me.
Rounding Third is an adaptation of Richard Dresser’s 2002 play (synopsis) and Garret plays Michael, the assistant coach. From Deadline:
[John C.] McGinley stars in Rounding Third as the win-at-all-costs coach of a kids baseball team on which his son plays. Dillahunt will play the new assistant coach. The coaches butt heads as they scrap through a season despite different personal circumstances and philosophies about the game and how to motivate their team. Robert Deaton and George Flanigen are directing for producer Fred Roos.
Come and Find Me, which starts shooting in Vancouver later this month, is a 2012 Black List script written by Zack Whedon, who will also direct it. Some more info:
Come And Find Me, from writer-director Zack Whedon, stars [Aaron] Paul as David, who must track down his missing girlfriend (Annabelle Wallis) after he realizes she’s not who she was pretending to be. Dillahunt plays the girlfriend’s former handler with the government who attempts to give David incriminating evidence that the woman was holding against him.
