Winter’s Bone was named one of the Top 10 Films of 2010 by the American Film Institute (AFI) earlier this week, and it also received more than a few nods from different critics’ associations over the last few days.
And this just in: Jennifer Lawrence has been nominated for a Golden Globe.
Here is the list of critics’ awards and nominations:
- The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) nominated the film in four categories: Best Picture, Best Actress, Best Young Actor/Actress (J. Lawrence), Best Adapted Screenplay. The winners will be announced at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards ceremony on Friday, January 14.
- The Southeastern Film Critics Association (SEFCA) included it among the Top Ten Films this year and presented it with the Gene Wyatt Award for Film That Best Evokes the Spirit of the South. Winter’s Bone was also the runner-up for Best Ensemble, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Actress. – theCLog

- John Hawkes won Best Supporting Actor from the San Francisco Film Critics Circle – Collider
- The Detroit Film Critics Society nominated the film in six categories: Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor (J. Hawkes), Best Ensemble, Breakthrough Performance (J. Lawrence) – Indiewire
- San Diego Film Critics nominated it in seven categories: Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress (Dale Dickey), Best Supporting Actor (J. Hawkes), Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Ensemble Performance. – The Awards Psychic
