Burning Bright (2009) is a thriller centered on a young girl named Kelly (Briana Evigan) who wakes up during a hurricane to discover that there is a tiger in her house. With all the doors and windows boarded up from the outside and her stepfather (Garret Dillahunt) nowhere to be found, she desperately tries to protect herself and her autistic brother Tom (Charlie Tahan) from the hungry animal.
The tiger belongs to the stepdad, who owns an animal farm and may or may not be responsible for setting the tiger loose as he is apparently not too fond of the idea of raising two children left in his care after their mother had committed suicide.
Burning Bright was filmed in Florida in July 2008. It was released on DVD in August 2010.
