Two new episodes air tonight at 8 and 8:30. Previews below.
“Yo Zappa Do, Part 2”
In the first of two back-to-back episodes, Hope (Baylie/Rylie Cregut) was recruited as an actress on “Yo Zappa Do.” Then, Jimmy (Lucas Neff) signs on as an extra to help her through her scenes, but the show’s star, Trevor (guest star Camden Garcia), makes his life miserable on set. Meanwhile, Burt (Garret Dillahunt) tries to pitch a new landscaping design to the studio chief (guest star Brian Doyle-Murray), and Maw Maw (Cloris Leachman) settles an old debt with her late ex-husband.
“Sex, Clown and Videotape”
Mike O’Malley and Liza Snyder, former “Yes, Dear” co-stars, reunite with “Yes, Dear” and RAISING HOPE creator Greg Garcia. When Burt and Virginia (Martha Plimpton) discover that their storage locker is up for auction, they also realize they have misplaced a personal and incriminating home video that has fallen into the hands of another couple (guest stars O’Malley and Snyder). Meanwhile, Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) tries to get to the bottom of Jimmy’s epic sleepwalking habit.
Modern Wedding:
The wedding day is finally here and Sabrina’s mom has hired the camera crew from “Modern Family” to capture the whole blessed event. But a series of catastrophes threatens to ruin the day, including a battle between Maw Maw and Reverend Bob. So Burt and Virginia scramble to save the ceremony and keep Jimmy and Sabrina in ignorant, matrimonial bliss.
Yo Zappa Do, Part 1:
As a wedding gift, Barney offers to fly Jimmy and Sabrina to Los Angeles for a taping of “Yo Zappa Do,” Hope’s favorite show. But due to Jimmy’s fear of flying, the entire family embarks on a road trip instead. Meanwhile, Burt and Virginia agree to take in Ricardo as a house guest, but he soon wears out his welcome.

RAISING HOPE (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) – “Making The Band”
In the first of two back-to-back episodes, it’s a “My Name is Earl” reunion as the Chances throw a birthday party for Hope. Jason Lee reprises his guest-star role as former rock star Smokey Floyd, and is joined by guest stars Jaime Pressly, Ethan Suplee, Nadine Velazquez, and Eddie Steeples as Natesville locals who all band together to save the party.
RAISING HOPE (8:30-9:00 PM ET/PT) – “The Old Girl”
Sabrina is excited to introduce her new friend Rachel (guest star Hilary Duff) to the family, but Virginia and Burt are shocked when she turns out to be Jimmy’s ex-girlfriend who broke his heart as a teenager.
Bad news for Ben and Kate fans – the show has been yanked from schedule. Not sure what this means for Hope in the long run (especially with this happening), but for the next two weeks, we’ll be getting a double dose of the show at 8 and 8:30. The one-hour season finale will air on March 28.
Here is what the current schedule looks like (based on the press release below):
Jan. 29 – 2 episodes – 3×14 Modern Wedding, 3×15 Yo Zappa Do, Part 1
Feb. 5 – 2 episodes – 3×16 Yo Zappa Do, Part 2, 3×17 Sex, Clown, and Videotape
Feb. 12 – encore
Feb. 19 – 1 episode – 3×18
Feb. 26 – 2 episodes – 3×19, 3×20
??? – 3×21, 3×22
Thursday, Mar. 28 – 3×23, 3×24 (after American Idol)
In the comedy’s Feb. 26 episode “The Old Girl,” [Hilary] Duff will play Rachel, Jimmy’s ex who comes back into his life when Sabrina unknowingly befriends her. Awkward alert! But don’t worry too much, Jimmy and Sabrina fans: Duff is only set to appear in one episode and your favorite couple’s marriage (which takes place in the Jan. 29 episode) will not be shaken by Rachel’s reappearance. Phew!
Question: Got any scoop on Raising Hope, one of the most underrated shows on TV? —Rebecca
Ausiello: Get ready for Raising Hope: The Musical… er, Musicals! In not one but two (consecutive) episodes, the show is gonna go all Glee on us. First up is “The Old Girl,” in which Virginia, undercover as a co-ed (don’t ask!), accidentally wins the affections of a member of the Cliff Notes, a college acapella group. The following week, in “Burtmitzvah,” the owner of Natesville’s deli tries to explain to Burt – via song, of course! – what it means to be Jewish. Mazeltov!
Also, Luke Perry will show up in an episode called “The Ghost of Arbor Day.” Air date was “spring” before this latest announcement.

Here is the promo for next week’s wedding episode:
Frank wants to throw Jimmy a memorable bachelor party, but Jimmy resists the idea, citing the crazy things that tend to happen when he goes wild (such as impregnating serial killers). But, when Sabrina convinces him to cut loose, things get a little out of control and Frank reveals an ulterior motive for encouraging Jimmy’s outlandish behavior.
