Winter’s Bone nominated for several Gotham Awards

The awards ceremony will be held on November 29 in New York.

The film is out on DVD and Blu-ray on October 26.

Winter’s Bone gets a DVD release date: October 26

Winter’s Bone will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on October 26, according to DVDActive.com.

Extras will include a commentary with Director Debra Granik and Cinematographer Michael McDonough, featurettes (“The Making of Winter’s Bone”, “Hillbilly Up: Defining the Contemporary Hillbilly”), Scouting the Ozarks: Resident Experts – visual scouting notes, and an Angel Band music video performed by Marideth Sisco.

Winter’s Bone opens tomorrow

Winter’s Bone will finally hit theatres tomorrow (Friday, June 11). It’s a limited release and chances are, you won’t get to see the film in the first week unless you live in New York or Los Angeles, so check your local listings.

Winter’s Bone trailer & poster

Winter’s Bone has won a couple of new prizes this week: the Best Feature Film prize at the Palm Beach Film Festival and the Special Jury Prize at the Independent Film Festival Boston.

Winter’s Bone wins Grand Jury Prize at Florida Film Festival

Garret Dillahunt,Winter's Bone,Debra GranikWinter’s Bone won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Feature at the Florida Film Festival, which closed on Sunday.
