The Daily Quirk has posted another video interview from Tribeca. I can’t embed it, so go here to watch it.
This one showed up on YouTube a few hours ago – enjoy:
Hollywood Reporter has a new interview with Courteney Cox and the cast of Just Before I Go. Hit the link for the whole article.
With the end of Raising Hope this season, Dillahunt told THR that he’s embracing new opportunities even though he’ll miss working on the Fox sitcom.
“It was one of the best jobs I ever had,” Dillahunt said of Raising Hope. “It made for a good year for me because I’d get to do that for six months, try and make my coworkers laugh every day, and then go do movies for six months. It was kind of the perfect job in this crazy new landscape of television and film.”
“But, you know, all of them end. I guess it was its time,” he added. “I couldn’t be doing this new series that I’m doing called Hand of God for Amazon if I was going back to Raising Hope. I choose happiness!”
Not really news, but Amazon has officially confirmed that they ordered the pilot and released a few more details about the cast and characters.
Marking the television debut of renowned filmmaker Marc Forster (Monster’s Ball, Finding Neverland, World War Z) and written by Ben Watkins, Hand of God stars Golden Globe winner Ron Perlman in his first lead television role since Sons of Anarchy as “Judge Pernell Harris.” Hand of God also stars Dana Delany as the Judge’s protective wife “Crystal Harris,” Garret Dillahunt as “KD,” the born-again sociopath, whose violent tendencies are exploited by Pernell, Andre Royo as the slick, smart, gregarious, and greedy mayor “Robert ‘Bobo’ Boston,” Alona Tal as Pernell’s grieving daughter-in-law “Jocelyn Harris,” Julian Morris as the questionable preacher “Paul Dobson,” Elizabeth McLaughlin as the preacher’s sultry girlfriend “Alicia,” and Emayatzy Corinealdi as Pernell’s call girl / confidante “Tessie.”
Deadline reports that Garret has joined Ron Perlman in Amazon’s new pilot, Hand of God. I guess he really wasn’t kidding when he typed this. The pilot was written by Ben Watkins (Burn Notice) and directed by Marc Forster (Monster’s Ball, Stranger Than Fiction, The Kite Runner, World War Z).
Here is what it’s about:
It centers on the powerful Judge Harris Pernell (Perlman), a hard-living, law-bending married man with a high-end call girl on the side who has a religious awakening and starts having visions and hearing voices through his ventilator-bound son that could be God speaking to him. Dillahunt will play KD, a young man who went looking for religion to cure his raging temper. He thinks he’s found God, but he is still a sociopath, and his temper is still raging. Pernell (Perlman) is a godsend for KD, as he gives him an intense singular focus, and an outlet for his violent tendencies. — Deadline
