Character #5? Is it official then? And do we know for sure what this brother is?
If this last episode is anything to go by, I’m not so sure I like where they’re going with John Henry. If he becomes an asset to the resistance, he’ll just end up being Uncle Bob to John Connor in season three. Unless of course they kill him off first.
LOL @ character #5. I was too confused by that scene to notice it, but I guess he really was overtaken by that evil worm for a sec back there.
toasternut: As someone pointed it out to me elsewhere, Garret dropped a pretty major hint that he would be coming back next season (as John Henry, just so there’s no mistake ;)) if the show gets picked up, so I wouldn’t worry about him getting killed off.
I don’t know how I feel about him possibly teaming up with the Connors, though. I’d rather see him stay with Ellison, but I’ll happily settle for Anyone But Weaver at the end of the day.
RE: character #5 – no, I haven’t seen anyone official say anything, I’m just calling it as I see it. And your guess is as good as mine here, but the only explanation I can think of for the whole sequence is that, when John Henry got hacked, the interface got hacked too and briefly taken over by the doppelganger and that JH was never intended to become Skynet itself, but just an experiment that would give Skynet a strategic edge without needlessly compromising its dedication to exterminating humans. Basically, the “brother” is the code the future Turk sent back to spawn itself and John Henry is just catnip. Unless he wins, which he probably will. He has to live up to that symbolic sledgehammer of a name he was given, after all.
When I saw the preview, I hoped it would be Cromartie coming back from the dead, but no such luck. They’re just not writing this show for me this season.
I don’t know what that virus was, but it definitely looked like a new character, one not very wise in the way of operating its own jaw. Definitely not Cromartie. Meh, better luck next season.

Come to think of it, even if this wasn’t a new character, it was definitely the third character death the guy’s had on the show. Take that, Milch!
Slightly off topic, but do you know anything about Garret appearing in episode 22 of Life? The IMDB mentions him, but they’re not exactly reliable for these things.
