Keep Hope Alive
Keep Hope Alive is a single-camera comedy pilot starring Garret, Martha Plimpton, Cloris Leachman and Lucas Neff, currently in development for the 2010/11 season at Fox. It was created by Greg Garcia (My Name Is Earl).
SYNOPSIS:
Keep Hope Alive centers on Jimmy (Lucas Neff), a 25-year-old man raising an infant with the help of his quirky family after the mother of the baby, with whom he had a one-night stand, ends up on death row. Dillahunt will play Jimmy’s dysfunctional father and boss, who is not thrilled to find himself a grandfather and worries that the baby might carry her mom’s homicidal gene.
Garret plays Burt Chance, Jimmy’s dad, who runs a pool cleaning business, Martha Plimpton plays Garret’s wife Virginia, and Cloris Leachman appears as Plimpton’s grandmother.
Other regulars include Olesya Rusin, a waitress whom Jimmy considers to be the perfect woman to raise his kid, and Kate Micucci, the live-in cousin who sleeps in a tent in the grandmother’s laundry room.
The pilot was directed by Michael Fresco.
